The design proposal sets an ambitious tone on the search for new ideas to organize healthy communities where strong bonds are formed. A critical element for success is the design of "small-scale community circles" as the scale of the community defines the quality of its social interactions, with smaller settings offering more chances for meaningful interactions compared to larger ones.
Therefore, the master plan is organized to comprise a mixture of small and medium-scale buildings arranged in a way that creates a gradation of urban settings, from very low density in one corner to a higher concentration of dwellings in the opposite one. Every four buildings are linked together on the first floor by a shared facility that gives space for community programs.
The master plan aims to stand out from the repetition and lack of diversity typically seen in apartment complexes by emphasizing the personality of each building with different materiality, openings and terraces.
